Certmedica International GmbH specializes in the development and distribution of high-quality medical devices and other healthcare products in Europe and around the world.
Certmedica International GmbH is a privately held healthcare company based in Aschaffenburg, near Frankfurt am Main. It was established in 2005 as a spin-off from Biomedica Pharmaprodukte GmbH. Over the past two decades, we have evolved into a clinically grounded, internationally active, and innovative provider of healthcare solutions.
Our medical focus is on the effective treatment and prevention of overweight and obesity—as central components of metabolic syndrome—as well as on associated health risks. To meet this need, we develop, manufacture, and distribute a portfolio of high-quality medical devices, digital health solutions, medicines, dietary supplements, and cosmetic products—manufactured under strict quality standards (including ISO 13485 certification). Additionally, we operate as a pharmaceutical wholesaler (Section 52a of the German Medicines Act) to ensure wide distribution of our products.

Our Global Presence
Certmedica International has an established global presence and is actively driving expansion to bring our healthcare solutions to new markets. Today, our products are available in approximately 50 countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. We have established partnerships and distribution agreements from Western and Eastern Europe to parts of the Asia-Pacific region—and our global footprint is continuously growing. Our vision is to make formoline L112 and our other flagship products as well-known internationally as they are in Germany.
A growing number of countries distribute our products through pharmacies, drugstores, and clinics. Our International Sales department supports local partners in logistics, marketing, and regulatory compliance to ensure sustainable success abroad.

Our corporate culture is based on quality, integrity, and innovation. At our Aschaffenburg site, a team of more than 80 employees works to maintain high quality standards and drive continuous improvement.
Quality is the foundation of our success. In accordance with our high standards, our products meet the highest requirements: From the procurement of raw materials and production through to marketing and distribution, we have implemented a comprehensive quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13485 to meet and even exceed official requirements in production and distribution.
A prerequisite for high quality is compliance with legal and regulatory standards for all product categories, from medical devices to dietary supplements. For us, it is a daily challenge to achieve the highest possible quality across all business units. Every product—from medical devices to dietary supplements—undergoes rigorous research and quality controls. Thus, “Made in Germany” stands not only for origin but also for excellence in safety and effectiveness.
